100 - The Challenge Festival: Flop or Triumph?

Right in the thick of pit bike races, techno stages, burning scooters, and excessive alcohol consumption, OGs once again made its mark this year – both for the sport and for all the party-goers.

With nearly 5000 visitors, this year's edition of "Die 100" was probably the biggest yet. The same applies to the newly used site. The actual glider runway of the small town of Ballenstedt was transformed for a weekend – at least in terms of the "Wild Camping" area – into a spectacle of cringe-worthy moments.

While the Böhm family, friends, festival contributors, and members of the MSC Ballenstedt club spared no expense or effort for nearly a year in planning and executing the festival, some visitors already showed on the arrival day that they weren't there for the sport or the music, but rather wanted to devolve one evolutionary step for three days.

After less than two hours, the first black smoke clouds already shrouded the sky over the festival grounds. Mostly, brought-along scooters or even a car fell victim to the petrol showers taking place there. There was no sign of festival spirit related to motorsport among these visitors.

While active damage control was being carried out in the Wild Camping area, "Die 100" remained unfazed in its concept implementation and offered loyal spectators the spectacle they had come for. In addition to a freestyle show and whip contest, this year's Straight Rhythm Battle took place in an even longer and more intense version, to the delight of all onlookers.

OGs Europe team rider Tim Grieb spontaneously decided to compete on race day and impressed in the qualification runs, as well as with a prior photoshoot at the OGs promotional stand.

Since the said OGs tent was set up a little outside the "danger zone", our brand, along with some of the adjacent street food trucks, was able to delight visitors with a genuine interest in the festival events without further complications.

Although some conceptual points of "Die 100" still need to be optimized, all visitors probably got their money's worth.

All in all, we're giving the green light again for next year (2024). We look forward to seeing you.
